Filament Cost Calculator

How much does that print actually cost? Enter your spool price and the grams the slicer reports, and this calculator shows the material cost in your local currency, the cost per gram, and the approximate length of filament used.

About this calculator

This calculator converts a spool price into a real per-print cost using the grams your slicer reports. It works in any of the supported currencies and estimates filament length from the material’s density. Currency and typical prices are auto-detected from your locale and fully editable, so it works whether you’re in the US, UK, Germany, India, Vietnam or anywhere else.

FAQ

How do I find the grams used?
Your slicer (Cura, Orca, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio) shows filament used in grams and metres in the sliced-preview summary. Enter the grams figure here.
Does this include electricity?
No — this is material cost only. Use the print energy cost calculator for electricity, or the project cost calculator to combine both plus a suggested sale price.
Why does length differ from my slicer?
Length is estimated from mass and material density for 1.75 mm filament, so it is a close approximation rather than the slicer’s exact extrusion path.
