Intermediate 230–250°C

eSUN PLA+ likes 210–225°C — a little hotter than basic PLA. eSUN PETG runs well around 240–245°C. Below is a safe starting profile for eSUN PETG, plus the exact numbers capped to popular printers. PETG is strong and weather-resistant but strings easily, so tune retraction and keep the fan low.

Quick answer: 240°C nozzle · 80°C bed · 50 mm/s · 1.5 mm retraction (direct drive). Tune per spool with a temperature tower.

What to expect from eSUN PETG

PETG is where brand choice starts to matter. Prusament PETG and Overture run clean around 240°C; some budget PETG needs 245–250°C and strings no matter what until it’s dried. Almost every PETG stringing complaint online is really a wet-filament complaint.

🔎 PETG likes to stick to the plate a little too well — use glue stick as a release agent (so it doesn’t rip chunks out of a PEI sheet), and keep the part-cooling fan low so layers actually bond.
